Rideshare from the Level 3 Departures outer curb / Palm Tran bus

Collect your bags on Level 1, then head up to Level 3 (Departures) — Uber and Lyft pick up on the outer curb there, not at baggage claim. Taxis and other commercial ground transport stay on Level 1. Palm Tran Route 2 serves the airport from Level 1; use it or another ground transfer to reach Tri-Rail, because no rail station is in the terminal. Brightline's West Palm Beach station is also off-airport.

  • The airport code changed from PBI to DJT on 18 August 2026 following the 2026 renaming. If a booking site rejects one, try the other, or search "West Palm Beach".
  • Rideshare is upstairs. Taxis are downstairs. That single fact solves most of the confusion here.
  • Brightline doesn't serve the airport directly — its West Palm Beach station is a few miles away, so you'll need a short ride to reach it.
  • There is no rail transit within Palm Beach County itself; Tri-Rail is regional rather than local.
  • Wellington's equestrian season (January to March) adds significant traffic on routes west of the airport.

Does Brightline stop at the airport?

No. Brightline's West Palm Beach station is a few miles from the airport, so you'd take a short rideshare or taxi to reach it. Palm Tran Route 2 serves the airport; Tri-Rail is also a regional connection rather than a train inside the terminal.
