⚠️ Uber, Lyft, and taxis don't pick up at the arrivals curb at SEA — pickup is on the 3rd floor of the parking garage (take the skybridge, then down one level). Follow the TNC/Rideshare signs.
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
Seattle, United States
For downtown Seattle, take the Link Light Rail — a 5-minute covered walk from baggage claim to SeaTac/Airport Station, then a traffic-proof ride into the city. For door-to-door, Uber, Lyft, and taxis all pick up on the 3rd floor of the parking garage (not the curb) — take the skybridge, then go down to floor 3 and follow the signs to the marked stalls.

Pickup Guidance
Rideshare
Uber and Lyft pick up on the 3rd floor of the parking garage, in the marked TNC/Rideshare zone in the center (look for the marked stalls). Take the skybridge from the terminal, then go down to floor 3 — not the arrivals curb. Order your ride only once you reach the zone. Premium rides (Uber Black) may meet at a baggage-claim-level door.
Taxi
Official taxis stage on garage level 3 in a dedicated taxi line. Both flat-rate and metered cabs run, with a flat rate to downtown Seattle; an airport-origin minimum fare applies.
Shuttle
Hotel shuttles and scheduled buses (including to Tacoma and Vancouver BC) use designated zones near Door 00 on the baggage-claim level and on garage level 3.
Transit
The Link Light Rail (1 Line) station is a roughly 5-minute covered walk across the parking garage from baggage claim. Trains run to downtown Seattle (Westlake) in about 38 minutes and bypass I-5 traffic entirely.
Private Transfer
Pre-booked car services and meet-and-greet drivers wait in the arrivals area with a name sign — useful for late arrivals, groups, or heavy luggage.

Local Tips
- Rideshare and taxi pickup is on the 3rd floor of the parking garage, not the arrivals curb — take the skybridge from the terminal, then go down to floor 3 and follow the TNC/Rideshare signs.
- The Link Light Rail reaches downtown Seattle in about 38 minutes and skips I-5 entirely — the most reliable budget option, and a short covered walk from baggage claim.
- For the Eastside — Bellevue, Redmond (Microsoft), Kirkland — rideshare or taxi is faster than the train, which only serves the I-5/downtown corridor.
- If you get turned around, the Ground Transportation Information Booth is on garage Level 1 (temporarily relocated for construction until Spring 2026).
- Rideshare surges during major Seattle conventions, big games, and university move-in weekends — when surge is high, the Link wins.
Tarmyq local tip
If you're heading downtown and aren't loaded with luggage, the Link Light Rail beats a rideshare at rush hour — it skips I-5 entirely. Tap an ORCA card or contactless and walk straight on.
