Rideshare
Zone 7 of the S. Commercial Roadway, outside baggage claim. Follow signage marked "Ride App / Zone 7." Your app will confirm the exact spot.
Taxi
Zone 5 on the commercial roadway outside baggage claim. A flat rate applies to Center City. International passengers arriving in Terminal A-West should take the lifts to the ground floor and follow signs to A-East baggage claim, exiting on S. Commercial Road for taxis.
Shuttle
Rental car shuttles collect at Zone 2 outside baggage claim. Hotel and parking courtesy shuttles use their own marked zones. The free PHL Airport Loop Shuttle links terminals landside.
Transit
SEPTA Airport Regional Rail Line — stations at Terminal A (East), Terminal B, Terminal C/D and Terminal E/F, all inside the terminal buildings. Access the platforms by exiting baggage claim on the Zones 5–8 side. Trains run roughly every 30 minutes to Eastwick, Penn Medicine, 30th Street, Suburban, Jefferson and Temple. Three SEPTA bus routes — 37, 108 and 115 — use Zone 1 of the Arrivals Road.
Private Transfer
Pre-booked cars and meet-and-greet drivers work from the commercial roadway. All terminals are connected post-security, but landside they are distinct — give your operator the terminal letter.

Local Tips
- PHL warns travellers not to accept rides from drivers who approach them inside the terminal or outside the authorised pickup zones. Use Zone 7 for ride apps and Zone 5 for taxis.
- The Airport Line is genuinely competitive with a car for Center City, and completely unaffected by I-95 congestion — which can be severe.
- Buy a SEPTA Key card or use contactless at the station; it works across SEPTA trains, buses, trolleys and subways.
- Cash fares on SEPTA buses require exact change. Card or Key is easier.
- All seven terminal areas are connected post-security, so a mistaken terminal is recoverable airside but not landside.
- Philadelphia's 2026 calendar is exceptionally busy — the FIFA World Cup, the MLB All-Star Game and the 250th anniversary of US independence all fall in the same year. Expect heavier-than-usual demand and allow more time.
- A major capital improvement programme has been running through 2026; temporary road signage may be in place on the commercial roadways.
